About
Angela Remedios, CPDT-KA, ANWI
Hello!
Scent work (aka Nosework) is a dog sport for all dogs. My goal is to get more dogs sniffing and more handlers connecting with their amazing pups through this enriching activity. In addition to being a certified professional dog trainer, I am an Associate Nose Work Instructor with the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW).
My team:
Eevee is my 12 year old papillon who is competing at the NW3 & AKC Detective levels. She is the 8th papillon in the country to have earned the AKC Scent Work Master title. She also has titles in musical freestyle, rally-free, trick dog, CGC and AKC rally but says nosework is the best!
Ziggy is my 6 year old papillon who is competing at the NW3/AKC Masters & Detective levels. He has earned the AKC CGC, TT and novice trick dog titles.
Noe is my 1 1/2 year old Golden Retriever & Labrador cross who passed her NW1 earning several placements and an overall pronounced designation.

I have known Angela for many years. We started our friendship while trialing our pups at various nose work trials. There is a lot of waiting time at these trials and it is a great opportunity to meet new people, share your dog’s journey and support one another. I have been working with Angela and our new cocker puppy since 2023..Angela is very knowledgeable about scent work, both AKC and NACSW trials, should you wish to compete. She is also patient with both the handler and their dog, as the learning curve squarely sits upon the handler’s shoulders. Our dogs know how to find the scent, we must learn to trust them, it’s all about the journey. And she is a great guide on that journey,. She brings her years of nosework experience, along with her love of dogs and excellent teaching skills to every class. There is no better way to have fun with your dog then to do scentwork with them. Angela is the perfect instructor to help you reach your goals and have fun with your dog on your journey. ~ Toni B.

Angela is an exceptional scent work instructor and an outstanding dog trainer overall. Her deep knowledge of scent work is paired with an incredible ability to break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps for both dogs and handlers. What really sets Angela apart is her attentiveness to the individual needs of each dog. She has a keen sense for detecting what each dog requires, always respecting their unique personalities and adjusting her approach accordingly. Her passion for scent work and her own dogs shines through in every class, and her enthusiasm is inspiring. Scenting has become such a fun and engaging activity for both my dogs and me, thanks to Angela’s teaching. As a coach, she’s not only helped us improve our scent work skills but also strengthened our overall connection. I am incredibly grateful for her patience, insight, and constant support, which have made such a positive impact on us. ~Greta G.

Angela is a winning combination of Nosework/Scentwork expertise, as well as having great people skills. This balance is rare.
For me, this means that whenever a training issue comes up, I trust that she will find an effective and creative way to resolve it AND know how to address whatever may be going for me internally.
Angela is insightful and tactful (did I mention people skills?) and comes up with solutions that provide clarity for both my dog and I. She does it with patience, calm and kindness. I am so lucky to have her in my corner. ~ Ida A.
